So today my best friend's mom told me she thought her daughter, my best friend, had lice. She said since we hang out together, I probably do too. I've been paranoid since, but my hair doesn't itch, and even though the top of my scalp has dandruff, it's easy scratch out and get stuck in my nails. Just to be safe, I washed my pillow and used lice repelling shampoo when I took a shower a little while ago, but I still don't know. Does anyone know if I have lice? I really don't want to get my looked at unless everyone thinks I really do have lice. Thanks so much!

I realize that much of a teams revenue comes from ticket sales and TV, but what I don't understand is what people pay for an NBA ticket and how often games are played, the average attendance, how much television pays to broadcast and other revenue sources are to cover the apparent $50-90 million dollar team salaries plus money to the back office and owner's return on investment. I am only interested in the money developed by the team itself. In addition I am curious about how the argument of the players that their rising salaries are representative of the owners profit margins ever increasing. I am currently in two major events coming up, the New England Junior Open and the Merrimack Valley Golf Championship. I have 10 more New England PGA Junior Tour events to compete in this year. Basically, it’s this REALLY strong gut feeling. It usually happens when I’m changing, in the restroom, going out(specifically sleepovers), or doing something you wouldn’t have done at a younger age. (Otherwise it also happens randomly) The common thoughts that always come to mind is the idea of growing up. How I’m going to become a Mom and have kids. It makes me not want that. Okay so a while ago myy friend wa telling me about her terrible lice experience. And I guess paranoia kicked in. She told be about 6 months ago. And I've been worried about it since. Well I've always had a pretty dry scalp and I have to use dandruff shampoo for it, it was just really dry scalp. Each time I touch my head I just thinka about lice. And I will find 1 or 2 little white things in my hair every once in a while. And I'm not sure if its nits or not. I am super worried, because I found a little yellow white colored thing in my hair, so I pulled it right out and it was pointy and one end. It was so scary. If I find one I can usually pull or flick it right out. I'm getting really worried! And also about 3 months ago my mom checked me but she said she didn't see anything at all. Also would a hairdresser tell me if they saw anything? I'm not sure if im paranoid or if I really have lice. Why is my dog shedding like crazy?

ok, so I wasn't badly infested with lice this time, i used Vaseline to kill the lice and nits. Please help. Im34 yr old woman - no siblings. I was raised by a severly disruptive mentally ill mother and my father played a very small role in my upbringing, he moved half hour away. When i was 17yrs old i developed severe panic and anxiety which was debilitating. I was bullied all my way through school. NO Gp / doc could explain the panic attacks or refer me for therapy. I made my own decision to see a therapist and set up my own appointments.! At this stage i believed i was stupid and mentally ill. My grades were through the floor. They were never good,education wasnt considered important and there was no routine in the house, just craziness. Basically i clicked immediately with this therapist and thought wow what a cool mum she would be. I done ok in life for myself,college education and reasonable jobs. She would constantly tell me she was so proud of me,that im so intellegant,that im one of her special clients. My confidence developed. Anyhow i would check in with her af difficult times this past 17yrs as i feel i can tackle anything after. I have had periods of 4/5yrs no contact and where i wouldnt think of her. However im back again and my feelings of fondness are stronger than ever. My mom sadly is in institutional care now and i find that so sad and difficult. My partner and I have also become unemployed and that is very stressful. We also have to move about 100 miles away and I dont want to, but we have to find work. We were never unemployed before and our money is being ate up. Then my father got ill and i'm worried about him. Im seeing my therapist agsin but i find my feelings of warmth and longing to be her friend are very strong. I wish shed love me as a daughter. But i know shes my therapist, and that is it. Thats all it ever will be. Our sessions run over 20 mins per time. She gives me special rate and now hugs me at end of sessions. She never done that before. She is 76 yrs old but looks 60. If you have asthma, most likely you also have eczema. They go Hand in Hand. The reason they are so closely related is because they're both caused by an unusually clean environment. It's a good idea to wash your sheets at least once a week. There is no known cure for eczema, but you can try hydrocortisone. You can go to walgreens, walmart, basically any store that sells cortizone. I would not recommend Aveeno, as it can cause burning and make you scratch more. First I would see a doctor and ask if you have eczema, most likely if you have asthma, this is the case. You can also get prescriptions. Good luck!

My scalp has been fairly itchy lately and I get really paranoid, so I just had to search for lice. A little over 2 weeks ago, I used lice treatment and got rid of my lice. my mom never combed out my nits though, but I spent an hour or two sitting in front of my mirror picking out a lot. I hung out with my boyfriend today and I'm just really paranoid that I still have them because I'm scared I might give him lice :c I still pick out nits every now and then, there isn't really any left. and when I think about it, I start getting itchy, but any other time I'm fine. Ah, help. :c

I'm Jewish and half Indonesian and half Russian. I have been on the robotics team, did model united nations, and played volleyball (jv, but will be varsity this year) for the past three years. I go to a private high school where the average GPA is 3.57, while the average SAT score is 2020. I'm doing Teen Council with Planned Parenthood during the upcoming year and did one year of Mock Trial during my sophomore year. I have done BBYO (B'nai B'rith Youth Organization) for the past three years and volunteered a lot. Please take this seriously, as I'm very conflicted about the college search. My parents aren't controlling at all. I'd like to go somewhere warm, but I understand that this is hard to do while looking for an academic environment. I'd like suggestions of places that are around the best that you think that I could get into. Thank you.

What's the best way to get rid of lice?

ikk exactly how you feel! my little sister got it( i didnt live with her at the time) and she gave it me and my little brother. First i would clean all your sheets, pillows, ect.. to make sure everything on there is gone then i would spray it with a lice killing spray you can get at a drugstore for 5 dollars. i would also recommend buying the shampoo to prevent lice, they have one and one to treat lice ( just in case!) then have your mother or an older sibling go through your hair to get rid of any nits or bugs or just to check to make sure. have them do it every night. some people use mayo, Vaseline, and other stuff like that but honestly i didnt think they worked. but if you would like you should try it! hope this helped :)

My 2 week old kittens have fleas??

Yes dear, you are right, if they have fleas they probably got them from their mom. Do NOT use a harsh (poisonous) flea control on them and if you give them a bathe wipe them really dry, keep them warm until they are totally dry! Kittens can get a cold really easy. Be sure you do not get water in their ears! This is VERY important! They can get ear infections that can cause a lot of damage, Using to strong of a flea control can actually kill them.Fixing a cat has NOTHING to do with getting fleas. Comb them and bathe them with a MILD solution of a medicated cat shampoo or a flea and tick shampoo that is especially for kittens. You can find this shampoo at a Walmart store. Good luck honey. I don't know if it's because I'm a woman, I don't know if it's because of the cultural differences, but someone please answer this one for me. My "fiance" has really been pissing me off. For example, he is mexican, i am american. I have a license, him and his buddies and his mother do NOT. So I had a full time job, ok pay, he asks me to leave my job so I can taxi around his family and friends, with this promise that I can make alot of money and help them out at the same time. At first I was very skeptical, but I said okay due to the fact that I could relax and home and cook and clean more and have more free time. Plus that would mean he would be taking care of everything financially. I finally agreed(because at first I told him no, he begged). The reason why he wanted this was because they're passing this stupid immigration law and he's worried for his friends and family, and the agreement was that they'd be paying me. But as you can imagine, things got tight with the money income change. Ok, I was okay with that, you make sacrifices for the ones you love, got it. BUT THEN his freakin mother hasn't even paid "on her own" till this day! I drive a gas gussling car, I'm not even making a profit here. I drive his mother and her two friends to work every day. About ten miles to get there at FREAKIN 7 am in the damn morning and then I pick them up at 4pm in the afternoon. Thats twenty miles. Then on top of that she asked me to take her son to school and then pick him up in the afternoon too, another 5 miles. Then I have to take my fiance to his friends house everyday at 5am as well so that they can drive to work (he works an hour away). The friend lives about 15 miles away. As you can imagine, making all these trips and BACK every damn day in a car that isn't great with gas isn't good for the gas tank, especially with this ridiculously rising gas prices, and this is on the daily! I supposedly get paid every WEEK! My problem is the mother doesn't pay and everyday I'm stressin out because we don't have gas in the damn car and I can't do wtf I need to do because I'm so busy over extending myself and bending over backwards for these people, WHEN SHE AINT PAYIN. My fiance has to go ask for money, he calls it "borrowing" and im like dude she owes us more than, go ask her for the money that she owes for me taking her to work, and taking her son to school! His response goes a little something like this, "I don't want to ask her for money, besides, that was YOUR GUYS'S deal, not mine, you go ask her for the money." And her refused to do it. I'm so freakin pissed off it's not even funny. Then he gets an attitude like I've done something wrong! well have I?! I've been nothing but nice up until this point but I'm about to snap! This time she asked us to borrow 20$ I only let her because it was my fiance little brother's Bday. Lice Eggs after treatment?

My daughter came home at the end of April with lice and was sent home. Our school has a nit free policy so I treated her and it took me two days to get everything out. I also treated my hair, washed everything in the house and checked my other children. On May 1st after two treatments and a check by school nurse she was allowed back to school. I might also add that the nurse checked my hair as well and said she found a couple of eggs and pulled them out and said I was good to go. I did one more treatment to be on the safe side. It is now June 18th and I went in to get my hair cut and the lady said she found 3 eggs in my hair and I had to leave. That alone was totally embarrassing, but I understand from a business stand point. She was very upset, said she would have to close her shop for the day to clean. I came home in tears, checked all my kids and had them check my hair as well and couldn't find anything. I have hair that is very, very long and not easy to look through. I wonder if maybe I didn't miss something and thats what she saw, but its been more then a month wouldn't I have more eggs?? The nurse told me the shampoo killed the eggs as well as live bugs, the box said it also kills the eggs, I did three treatments, used hair dryer every day to help kill eggs with heat and still this happened. Cutting my hair to deal with lice, should I?

cutting your hair would make it eaiser to do the treatment but in my opinion it's not worth it they would still get you just the same. just wash EVERYTHING change your sheets and pillowcase EVERYDAY put all your stuffed animals in a plastic bag and get rid of them for a month and don't see your boyfriend again untill his head is completely clean annd treat your hair every single night annnnd try putting mayonnaise in it and letting it sit and then washing it out oh and vacuum your floor and clean all your furniture and don't see any of your friends until your head has been clean of lice for at least a week,it usually takes at least 15 days to completely get rid of lice but if you do everything i just said for 15 days it will go away,cutting your hair will only make it easier to comb the nits out of your hair and in my opinion isn't worth getting it cut. good luck :)
